Irregular Active Verbs in Korean


Here’s a list of irregular active verbs in Korean arranged in alphabetical order. A verb in English is called irregular because they are spelled entirely different in past tense as in eat to ate. In Korean, a verb is called irregular because it undergoes unpredictable changes in any tenses. It is characterized by removal and replacement of characters.

This list shows the verb conjugation in polite form and formal form only. The casual form is polite form without 요. Most of the time, irregularity appears in polite form, but changes are inevitable in formal speech too.
